We're Hiring!

  For the Love of Sourdough is excited to announce that we are hiring for a new collaborative position to help with our future microbakery happenings in 2025! We are hiring for a part-time Microbakery Apprentice and Assistant. This important role will be a paid position offering between 15 to 20 hours a week to start helping our family business with the following responsibilities: 

Your Role at For the Love of Sourdough 

1. Work entire process flow along side Nicole for Community Pop-Up Bake Days (dough prep, recipe development and testing, packaging, inventory checks, baking, grocery runs). 
2. Assist with the running of our Sourdough School for Beginners classes happening here at the Dough House and at off site locations.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work space and kitchen during classes and prep days.
4. Work with Nicole on social media engagement and branding opportunities.
5. Community engagement with local businesses. 
6. Participate in a local or Northern Arizona farmer market with Nicole during the summer season (Flagstaff Farmers Market & Prescott Farmers Market is a possibility so must be flexible with travel one day a week with Nicole up north during summer) 
7. Build lasting relationships with customers and the local community.
8. Assist with any administrative duties for the Microbakery as needed. A laptop will be provided. 
9. Learn the craft & skill of sourdough baking working with several blends and bread styles. 
10. Be a part of our family!

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Must possess passion for creative baking and building relationships with others 
2. Must have experience baking in some capacity 
3. Must hold current Arizona Food Handlers Certification 
4. Must have reliable transportation 
5. Must be flexible with hours (early mornings and weekends as needed)
6. Must have reliable transportation 
7. Must maintain the highest level of integrity 
8. Cleared background check 
9. Core traits: Engaging, Creative, Trustworthy, Reliable & a Steward for the local Arizona community 

This is a paid position offering 15-20 hours per week to start at $20 per hour paid weekly.
